I wish to create sculptures “that interact with spectators and the environment.”

In my creative process, I continuously pursue an expression that can allow for such deep interaction. Sculptures are not merely static objects but mediums capable of stimulating the spectators’ imagination and guiding them into a multidimensional space-time. I strive to convey the subtle relationship between time and space through the form and existence of the object, thereby provoking emotional resonance and reflection in the viewer.

My inspiration comes from the imagination of the existence of living beings within the natural environment. I envision breathing my own thoughts and life into my works, letting them circulate freely. I try to transform this circulation into visible lines, which are both the strokes of my thoughts and bridges of communication with the public, representing not only the vitality of organisms but also the projection of emotions and ideas.

In my creative process, “cutting” and “shifting” are techniques I frequently use. Through cutting, I aim to break the original integrity, allowing spectators to see more layers and details. This is not limited to the deconstruction of the sculptural form but also offers an overlapped imagination of time and space for the development of the form. By merging the sculptural form with the spectators’ imagination, the creation is no longer bound by physical constraints. Spectators are thus free to discover the richness of different times and spaces through the works, together building an artistic experience full of charm.
